Kids Hurt Me

No, not these sweet little kids!

A few days ago we had a play date with Brandon and Gage. We went to Chic fi la to eat lunch and let the kiddos play. There were a lot of kids running around the play area but only 4 parents supervising including Kristen and I. Well, Violet got cornered by a bigger kid in the highest part and he kept shoving her and telling her no. She was backed up against a wall and was too scared to move past him. I could see them out of a tiny window. I rushed up there as fast as I could to rescue her from this playground bully. Made me so sad and his parents were MIA.

Hours later at home my mom asked her if she had a good day and did she get to see kids. Violet replied, "Ya, kids hurt me." Broke my heart! Just had to share that story. It's so sad that some parents just let the children run wild.

Bridal Shower

The Bridal Shower was last weekend. Good Food. Good Friends. Good Time. Matt and I got some really cool stuff. Can't wait to get a house!!

Tacky Christmas Party

My friend Gloria and I hosted a Tacky Christmas Party last weekend. Everyone was told to wear christmas clothing, the dorkier the better. Lucky for us my mom used to make some of these little gems. Such as the white sweatshirt that Priscilla is wearing and the Lace Santa one that Jaley is modeling.

It was fun! We had more people show up this time. I made Pepperjack Cheese Wontons, Sticky Hot Wings, Brown Sugar Bacon Lil'Smokies, Cucumber Sandwiches, Peanut Butter Balls, and Cake Balls. Gloria made salsa, guacamole, pigs n blankets, and Puppy Chow Mix. The only thing left over were the sandwiches. They were just okay and I got the recipe from Oprah.com. I thought Oprah knew her food.

Pizza Party

My friend Gloria and I threw a Pizza Party last weekend. That's us up there posing with a few of the pizzas. We actually made 5 pizzas and 2 brownie pizzas!

It was fun! We used her apartment to cook and prep and then hosted the party downstairs in my apartment. It worked out great. We had 15 guest.

We served a Margarita Pizza which seemed to be the favorite. Two meat topped pizzas and one all veggie. We also made a Greek Salad. YUM. The brownie pizzas were topped with crushed m & m's and marshmallows then drizzled with caramel sauce.

Our appetizers were cheese, prosciutto, crackers, marinated tomatoes, and bacon wrapped cream cheese peppers. I know the peppers didn't match our theme, oops! We washed it down with homemade Sangria!

I LOVE cooking! I'm so excited about trying new recipes for the holidays!

Small Updates

(My sweet little baby last year on her first Halloween)

1. Violet and I traveled to Frisco yesterday to visit Miss Mandy and Baby Brandon. Kristen and Gage came as well. We had a good time enjoying pizza, cheesecake, and a walk to the playground!


2. I'm watching my neighbors one year old baby now. Today is the first day. It's going well and Violet and her are napping right now, yay! I will be keeping her at my house for 2-4 days a week. It's a good way to make some pennies!


3. Matt has been way too hyper/peppy/happy. JK. What has gotten into him? Anybody know?! LOL. He took the day off today and has been so eager to help me with the babies. And NO, I'm not complaining!


4. I have been having a late night snack almost every day! Not good and it's always a carb! It's becoming a bad habit. Gotta work on that.


5. It's Kristens Birthday today! Hip Hip Hooray!

Muah to my friends and loved ones! And Justine if your reading this, I miss you. We gotsa go to the circus!

It's Friday Night and I feel alright!

I'm about to...

1. Go with Kristen to the mall to try on a ring I have been eyeing.
2. Then go see the Kaleidoscope of Homes Tour.
3. Grab a bite to eat!
4. Come home and relax with my baby and Matthew!

I'm in a very good mood, must have been the 2 mile run I did today and the fact that Matt is watching Violet by himself tonight , Oh YA!
