"3 in the bed and the Mommy said Move Over, Move Over!"

Well, I guess technically there's 4 in the bed counting baby Z. There's my little sleeping beauty, Violet. She just turned 3 in July. As of this week she has decided she's afraid of EVERY sound she hears in the night and will instantly climb into our bed and say in a tiny voice, "I need you to protect me."
We try our best to talk her into staying her toddler bed which is actually right next to my side of the bed! We co-slept with her since she was a few weeks old. She has never been able to sleep through the night in her own room. I like having her close. But she's big now and so is my growing belly. We all need some space. I hope this phase doesn't last long. It's small things like the ice machine or the ceiling fan that instantly scares her. Then she will go into a long story about hearing bugs flying around outside and that she can hear an elephant outside the door! It's funny but to her it's a real fear. Maybe a nightlight would help. I'm not sure, hmmmm.
Here's to getting a good night's sleep tonight!

Awww she so adorable. Little ones say the cutest things. My Son just turned 3 in July as well and he sleeps on his own in his room. There are times when we feel him come over to our bed at night but my husband gets up and carries him back to his room and then we're good. He's been sleeping on his own since he was about 10 months.
Good Luck! :)
I feel so blessed to have her. She makes Life so fun! So, last night she attempted to climb in the bed and I hugged her and put her back and she was fine in her bed. So, I got some much needed rest.
Oh but sweet. I painted the wall a large drawing, as in Winnie the Pooh and friends, and I said to my daughter, that they take care of him until asleep.
